Who owns what on The Briefing, and what to do if you believe your rights were infringed.
Our text
Every article on The Briefing is original prose written by our AI-assisted pipeline. Articles report on events covered elsewhere, and each article lists the sources it draws on, but the wording is our own. Direct quotations are short and attributed.
Our images
Every image caption states where the image came from. There are three kinds:
- AI-generated editorial illustrations created for The Briefing.
- Original illustrations (SVG cards) created by The Briefing.
- Creative Commons photographs found via Openverse, credited to their creators with the license noted.
We do not republish photographs owned by news outlets or wire agencies.
If you own rights to something on this site
If you believe The Briefing uses your work improperly, email aaravdey18@gmail.com with the page URL, a description of the work, and evidence that you own it. We review every notice promptly and will remove the material or correct its attribution while we do.
