OpenAI has appointed Dali Rajic as its new Chief Revenue Officer, continuing a period of executive transitions at the artificial intelligence company. Rajic, who previously held leadership roles at cybersecurity firm Wiz, succeeds Denise Dresser, who departs after less than a year in the position.
The appointment of Dali Rajic as OpenAI's Chief Revenue Officer marks the latest executive change at the artificial intelligence firm. Rajic, who most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Wiz, a cybersecurity company acquired by Google, will lead OpenAI's global revenue organization. He takes over from Denise Dresser, who joined OpenAI in December and is leaving to "pursue other opportunities," according to a company statement. Dresser will remain with the company during a transition period to support customers and the business team.
OpenAI stated that Rajic brings extensive experience in leading disciplined, metrics-driven revenue organizations that scale globally and cater to both large enterprises and technical customers. Prior to his role at Wiz, Rajic was President and Chief Operating Officer at Zscaler and served as Chief Customer and Revenue Officer at AppDynamics. OpenAI President and Co-Founder Greg Brockman commented that Rajic will build the necessary revenue operating system to scale for the company's next phase, as AI becomes embedded in every workflow. Rajic expressed his excitement to join OpenAI, stating, "OpenAI has extraordinary technology, products that more than one billion people already love, and enormous market pull. I'm excited to join the team, build on the momentum already in place, and lead the revenue organization as we help customers realize the full value of AI."
Dresser's departure follows a series of other senior executive changes at OpenAI. In August 2026, Brad Lightcap, a long-serving executive and former COO, announced his departure to start a new venture. Lightcap had transitioned from COO to a special projects role reporting to CEO Sam Altman in April 2026, with Dresser absorbing many of his duties. Earlier in 2026, AGI chief Fidji Simo and CMO Kate Rouch also stepped back from their leadership roles, with Simo taking medical leave and Rouch leaving to focus on health.
These executive shifts occur as OpenAI prepares for a potential public offering. The company reportedly submitted a confidential IPO prospectus to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in June 2026 and closed a funding round in March 2026 at an $852 billion valuation. OpenAI has also partnered with Chad Peets and RPT Partners, a firm specializing in recruiting sales leadership, to rebuild its go-to-market team. The company indicated that this rebuilding effort is necessary to establish a world-class go-to-market team.
OpenAI's products currently reach over one billion weekly active users and more than two million businesses, a figure that has doubled in the past year. The company aims to make AI more capable, affordable, and broadly useful by integrating research, products, deployment, and infrastructure. Rajic's appointment is seen as a move to solidify the company's commercial foundation and drive further growth as the enterprise AI market expands.
