Cyera has agreed to acquire Oasis Security for $1 billion. This deal aims to enhance Cyera's platform for securing artificial intelligence agents and non-human identities.
Cyera, a cybersecurity firm focused on data security posture management, announced on July 28, 2026, that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Oasis Security for approximately $1 billion. The acquisition is intended to bolster Cyera's offerings by integrating Oasis Security's technology for managing and securing non-human identities and AI agents. This move addresses the increasing use of AI agents within enterprise environments, which introduces new security risks. The transaction is expected to close after a binding agreement is signed and conditions are met.
Oasis Security, founded in 2022 by Danny Brickman and Amit Zimerman, specializes in "agentic access management." Their platform is designed to provide visibility and control over non-human identities, such as service accounts, software workloads, and AI agents, which are rapidly increasing within organizations. Oasis Security has raised approximately $195 million in funding since its inception, with its latest funding round in March 2026 securing $120 million.
Cyera, founded in 2021 by Yotam Segev and Tamar Bar-Ilan, has been actively expanding its capabilities through acquisitions. The company recently raised $600 million at a $12 billion valuation in June 2026. This acquisition of Oasis Security follows previous acquisitions by Cyera, including Genie Security for an estimated $50 million in May 2026, and Ryft for an estimated $100 million in April 2026. The company's strategy involves integrating identity security with its existing data security platform to provide a comprehensive view of data access and risk.
The combined entity aims to offer organizations a unified system that tracks what every human, machine, and AI agent can access and what actions they are authorized to perform. Cyera CEO Yotam Segev stated that conventional access controls were designed for human users and are insufficient for software acting independently. Non-human identities within Fortune 500 companies have reportedly increased by nearly 500% in the six months prior to the announcement, highlighting the growing need for specialized security solutions.
Following the acquisition, Oasis Security will operate as an independent unit within Cyera, focusing on the non-human identity security business. The integration of their platforms is expected to accelerate the adoption of Oasis's technology across Cyera's global enterprise customer base. The deal is reportedly the second-largest cybersecurity acquisition of 2026, following Accenture's acquisition of a majority stake in Dragos for approximately $3.2 billion.
